By using this website, approving a quotation, placing an order, or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to:

  • use of the ALTO DESK website;
  • viewing product information;
  • enquiries submitted through WhatsApp, email, or contact forms;
  • quotation requests and approvals;
  • product orders and payments;
  • delivery, collection, assembly, and after-sales support.

If a product quotation, order confirmation, or separate written agreement contains terms that differ from these Terms and Conditions, the separately agreed terms will apply to that specific order.

3. Product Information

ALTO DESK makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about product dimensions, materials, colours, features, prices, and conditions of use.

However, the following variations may occur:

  • colour differences caused by screen settings;
  • natural differences in wood grain, pattern, and colour;
  • minor dimensional variations resulting from handmade or manufacturing processes;
  • natural surface characteristics of wood or plywood;
  • minor structural or component changes made to improve the product.

Differences in wood grain, pattern, or colour are natural characteristics of the material and are not considered defects unless they affect the structural integrity or intended use of the product.

Customers must verify product dimensions and available installation space before placing an order.

4. Intended Product Use

Products must be used only for the purposes described in the product information and usage instructions.

A desktop riser may be intended for:

  • use with a compatible laptop;
  • use with an external keyboard and mouse;
  • placement on a flat and stable existing desk;
  • use within the stated maximum load capacity.

Products must not be stood on, used as chairs or ladders, overloaded, or placed on unstable surfaces.

Children must not be allowed to climb on, hang from, or play with the product.

5. Quotations

Prices displayed on the website may be indicative only. The final price may depend on:

  • product model;
  • dimensions;
  • materials and finish;
  • custom requirements;
  • delivery location;
  • assembly or installation services;
  • additional options.

The final price, estimated production period, and delivery conditions will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation provided to the customer.

Quotations are valid for [for example, 7 or 15 days] from the date of issue. After the validity period expires, prices may change due to changes in material costs, transportation costs, or other expenses.

6. Order Confirmation

An order is confirmed only after all of the following conditions have been met:

  • the customer has approved the final product specifications and quotation;
  • the customer has provided the necessary contact and delivery information;
  • the required deposit or full payment has been received.

A general enquiry or quotation request does not by itself confirm an order.

For custom-made products, the customer must verify the following before confirming the order:

  • overall dimensions;
  • height;
  • width and depth;
  • colour and finish;
  • selected options;
  • delivery address;
  • available installation space.

Production will begin based on the specifications approved by the customer.

7. Payment

Available payment methods will be communicated during the ordering process.

Payment methods may include:

  • bank transfer;
  • electronic transfer;
  • cash;
  • card payment or a third-party payment provider;
  • any other payment method approved by ALTO DESK.

For custom-made products, a deposit of [deposit percentage]% of the total order value may be required to confirm the order.

The remaining balance must be paid [before production is completed / before delivery / at installation].

Production or delivery may not begin until the required payment has been confirmed.

Unless otherwise stated, charges imposed by banks or third-party payment providers may be the responsibility of the customer.

8. Production Time

The estimated production period will be stated in the order confirmation.

Production time may vary depending on:

  • order quantity;
  • product specifications;
  • availability of materials;
  • scope of customisation;
  • public holidays;
  • supplier or transportation delays;
  • other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Any stated production period is a reasonable estimate and is not guaranteed. If a significant delay occurs, ALTO DESK will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Delays in customer approval, information, or payment may also delay production and delivery.

9. Custom-Made Products

Products made according to a customer’s requested dimensions, colour, finish, structure, or other specifications may be classified as custom-made products.

Once production has started, the following may be restricted in cases of change of mind:

  • cancellation;
  • changes to dimensions or specifications;
  • changes to colour or finish;
  • full refunds.

If a product has a manufacturing defect or differs materially from the approved order specifications, ALTO DESK will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and these Terms and Conditions.

The customer will be informed before confirming the order whether the product is considered custom-made and what cancellation conditions apply.

10. Order Changes and Cancellations

Customers who wish to change or cancel an order must contact ALTO DESK as soon as possible.

Changes or cancellation may be possible if production has not yet started.

If production has already begun, the following costs may be deducted from any refund:

  • materials already purchased;
  • manufacturing or processing costs;
  • design or customisation work;
  • payment processing fees;
  • other reasonable costs already incurred.

If an order change results in additional costs or a revised production period, work will proceed only after the customer has approved the revised conditions.

Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Delivery

Delivery areas, charges, and estimated schedules will be communicated before the order is confirmed.

The customer must provide an accurate delivery address, contact details, access instructions, and a suitable delivery time.

Additional delivery charges may apply when redelivery is required because of:

  • an incorrect address;
  • customer absence;
  • inability to contact the customer;
  • restricted building access;
  • undisclosed stairs or elevator limitations;
  • a product being unable to pass through an entrance or hallway.

Customers must measure doorways, corridors, elevators, stairs, and the intended installation area before ordering.

Estimated delivery times may change because of traffic, weather, transportation issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

12. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers should inspect the product at the time of delivery and verify:

  • quantity;
  • visible damage;
  • correct model and specifications;
  • missing components;
  • damage to the packaging.

Any damage that appears to have occurred during delivery, or any missing components, should be reported with photographs within [for example, 24 or 48 hours] after receipt.

Visible damage that is not reported within a reasonable period may be considered to have occurred after delivery. This does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Assembly and Installation

If customer assembly is required, the product must be assembled according to the provided instructions.

Warranty coverage may be limited where damage is caused by:

  • assembly contrary to the instructions;
  • use of unsuitable tools;
  • forcing parts together;
  • unauthorised modifications;
  • excessive tightening of screws or connections;
  • installation in an unsuitable location.

If ALTO DESK provides an installation service, the customer should inspect the product after installation is completed.

14. Warranty

ALTO DESK products are covered by a warranty for [warranty period] from the purchase or delivery date.

The warranty may cover manufacturing or structural defects arising during normal use, including:

  • defects in joints or connections;
  • structural failure during normal intended use;
  • production that materially differs from the approved specifications;
  • missing or incorrectly supplied components.

The warranty may not cover:

  • normal wear and tear;
  • scratches, stains, or impact damage;
  • damage caused by water or excessive humidity;
  • discolouration or deformation caused by sunlight or heat;
  • misuse or negligence;
  • exceeding the stated load capacity;
  • incorrect assembly;
  • unauthorised modifications or repairs;
  • natural differences in wood grain or colour;
  • normal minor changes in natural wood materials.

To make a warranty claim, customers may be required to provide order details, a description of the issue, and photographs.

If a defect is confirmed, ALTO DESK may provide a repair, replacement part, product replacement, or another reasonable remedy depending on the circumstances.

15. Returns and Refunds

The availability and period for returning standard products will depend on the condition of the product, the method of purchase, and applicable law.

A returned product will generally be required to be:

  • unused;
  • in resalable condition;
  • complete with all components;
  • kept in its original packaging where reasonably possible;
  • accompanied by proof of purchase.

Customers may be responsible for return delivery costs when the return is based on a change of mind.

Custom-made products, modified products, or products that have already been used may not be returnable solely because of a change of mind.

If a product is defective or differs from the confirmed order, the customer should contact ALTO DESK so that the issue can be reviewed.

Nothing in this section limits consumer rights relating to returns, exchanges, or refunds that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Product Care

Customers must follow the applicable care instructions to protect the safety and useful life of the product.

General recommendations may include:

  • cleaning with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth;
  • wiping away moisture immediately;
  • avoiding strong chemical cleaners;
  • avoiding prolonged direct sunlight;
  • avoiding high-humidity or wet environments;
  • regularly checking screws and connections;
  • not exceeding the stated load capacity.

Specific care instructions may vary depending on the material and finish of the product.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ALTO DESK may not be responsible for damage resulting from:

  • use outside the product’s intended purpose;
  • failure to follow product or safety instructions;
  • incorrect assembly or installation;
  • exceeding the stated load capacity;
  • installation on an unstable or unsuitable desk;
  • modifications or repairs performed by the customer or a third party;
  • unsafe placement of laptops, electronic devices, or personal belongings;
  • natural disasters or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that laptops, electronic devices, and other items are placed securely on the product.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

ALTO DESK will make reasonable efforts to communicate directly with the customer and seek a fair solution.

If the issue cannot be resolved by agreement, the customer may contact the relevant Paraguayan consumer protection authority or use any dispute-resolution procedure available under applicable law.

23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Paraguay.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement will be handled by the competent Paraguayan authority or court, without affecting any mandatory legal protections available to consumers.

24. Changes to These Terms

ALTO DESK may update these Terms and Conditions when its products, services, payment methods, or legal obligations change.
